As a number of other TypePad beta testers have mentioned, it's kind of a kick how quickly a little community is forming here. We have our own little list of most recently updated betablogs, so can easily saunter over & see what the others are up to. Mike did just that a while ago, and I followed him back to his place to check it out. It turns out he's been influenced by some of the folks I mentioned earlier (see sidebar) but the reference I absolutely loved was this description of why he reads Acidman:
I read a few blogsfor the same reason that I slow down to gawk at a car wrecksimply because they are fun. Jim Treacher and Acidman fall into that category.
That sums it up beautifully.
Mike also had a link to this photographic scavenger hunt. I'd seen mention of it on Da Goddess's site, but didn't have the details until now. As a photographer by trade, this sounds like a great assignment, even if I am going to have to do it in half the time.
So go check out Mike's blog; he's another newbie who's also obviously having fun with this. He has an especially interesting "100 things about me" on his About Me page - quite a background. Hey Mike...weren't the Toledo Mudhens Klinger's team on MASH? I'm sure I remember him wearing one of their uniforms.
Paul, I can't wait to see your submissions for the scavenger hunt!

Thank you for the generous mention. I left a Mudhens post for you over at my place. And keep spotlighting beta blogs.
